THE CALL
I had a good job, a good church, and a good home
when God called me to Houston Texas. I'd just
gotten a raise on my job and I owned my home debt
free. Everywhere I went I was bombarded with
Genesis 12:1-3 and messages about Houston Texas.
I even had a client tell me she was afraid that one
day I would just pack up and move away. She was
wearing a T-shirt that read Houston Texas. I also
heard that Genesis 12:1-3 scripture everywhere I
went until I finally submitted to God's call. So I
left it all and moved to Houston Texas.
THE JOURNEY OF FAITH
Once in Houston nothing went as I'd envisioned it would. God led me away from employment in my field
to operate Anointed Messages as a business. Due to lots of delays and obstacles in putting the ideas
into production I began sending out Anointed Messages as emails; just to keep the ministry moving
forward. I encountered several obstacles and trials that made me question the vision and the calling.
Eventually I realized that all of the 'mess' I'd gone through was ordained by God. My anointed
messes became anointed messages. The email ministry continued to grow into what it is today.

The Call of Abram
1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your
country, your people and your father's household
and go to the land I will show you.
2 "I will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you."
THE DISCOVERY
In typical God style He used more than one means to confirm His creation. There were 3 primary routes that led
to the discovery of Anointed Messages.
1) Texts. I had a text message ministry in which I sent scriptures and encouraging thoughts to others. I soon
learned that people were amazed to receive exactly the word they needed at the right time.
2) Youth Ministry. I was responsible for creating sermonettes for the children at my church. One message called
for me to struggle with opening a jar. I wondered about what to put in the jar. Encouraging messages for the
children! I prayed all would receive the right message and by the grace of God they did.
3) Counseling. As a counselor I wanted my clients to have something tangible to take with them between sessions;
something that would encourage them and give them hope. I remembered the jar and began filling it with messages
that I thought would minister to my clients. I prayed fervently that the right person would get the right
message at the right time and God answered that prayer. Soon the staff were also coming to my office to receive
"anointed messages." It kept growing and growing and God gave me several ideas for anointed messages.
THE JOURNALS
I've always kept a journal or diary. My parents taught me to read and write when I was 3 and I started
keeping diaries not long after that. Journaling is therapeutic for me; a way I like to express myself.
When I write I don't censor myself. I say what I'm thinking and I don't worry about being
grammatically correct. I sometimes break out into prayers or talk to God or shift from 1st person to
2nd person. I even copy and paste pictures in my journals to emphasize points. I recognized that is
rather strange but once God revealed to me that I was creating devotionals it all made sense.
Sharing my journals on the internet was another struggle. I am a private person but I do it so others
may be blessed. I'm able to be honest in my journals because I still write for the therapeutic value and
I convince myself the part I'm writing won't go on the internet.
