This is my prayer for marriages:
The two will become one flesh. (Genesis 1:27, 2:24, Matthew 19:5)
What God has joined together no human will separate. (Matthew 19:6)
The man shall love his wife as Christ loves the church and was willing to die for it. (Ephesians 5:25)
The wife shall respect her husband as her head and covering. (Ephesians 5:22, 23)
Both the husband and the wife will be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. (Ephesians 5:21)
The couple will be like a cord of 3 strands that is not easily broken, consisting of The Lord, the husband, and the wife. [Ecclesiastes 4:12]
The couple’s communication with each other will be pleasing to the Lord.
They will speak each other’s love language.
